Friendship Week 2015

friendship weekHow do you celebrate your friendships?

From friendship bracelets to coffee dates, we have many ways to share special moments with those who have become closest to us. During the third week of August we are given the opportunity to officially celebrate our friends near and far. National Friendship Week isn’t the only time we appreciate our friends of course; but it does provide a great reason to let them know how special they are to us!

In today’s world there is nothing more precious than time. If your friends are local, be sure to set aside some time dedicated simply to cultivating your relationships – and don’t forget the flowers! Although flowers are often associated with romantic love, there are many types of blooms that represent friendships, and are perfect to make your best buddies smile! Yellow roses are the traditional flower of platonic friendships, and make a sunny and bright statement of affection.

Yellow Roses

Your friends across the miles will smile from ear to ear when they receive a floral arrangement celebrating this special week. Alternative flowers to express friendship are the iris, carnation and the Gerbera daisy; a combination of these flowers would make a thoughtful and meaningful gift.
