On November 28, we celebrate Giving Tuesday, the last in a row of named days after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Unlike those other two, Giving Tuesday is not devoted to consumers and the marketplace, at least not usually. Unless you’re shopping flowers at Bagoy’s Florist & Home, that is. Giving Tuesday can become even more rich and meaningful when you combine it with the giving of flowers, creating two recipients – your loved one and your favorite charity – instead of just one.

For us, this is possible through our Helping Hands  program, a way to give back to our Anchorage community that’s actually available year round. And the process is simple, too. Pick your favorite and $5 of your purchase will go to that deserving organization.

We love the idea of dedicating one day during the biggest spending time of the year to giving. Donating our time, energy and resources to the groups that make our community better is the best gift we can give.
