Being in the floral design business, Bagoy’s Florist and Home has the great privilege of witnessing so many great stories. From welcoming home a deployed soldier to sending flowers to grandma in rural Alaska – we enjoy being a part of your stories every day. But on Valentine’s Day, the stories can be especially sweet, as romance adds the key ingredient to some spectacular love stories. Valentine’s Day is next month, and we thought we would start sharing love right now, with stories from our clients to inspire and warm your heart.
We work diligently each and every day to provide you with the personal touch of our floral designers and the exquisite beauty of our fresh flowers, and you have graciously shared how we became a part of your love story!
Natalie told us that her first bouquet of flowers when dating came from Bagoy’s, and 12 years into their marriage her husband is still lavishing her with flowers from our store. Melanie shared that on each anniversary, she receives a bouquet of Bagoy’s roses that corresponds with the number of years they have been married- and they just passed 20 years! (We think her husband is onto something!)
Another Bagoy’s love story started on their first Valentine’s Day dating – Amanda’s future husband decorated her cubicle at work with roses and chocolate dipped strawberries. Over the years he has continued to decorate her truck, their home, and her office space with flowers from Bagoy’s Florist and Home. What a great guy! Tessa also received roses from her husband on their first Valentine’s Day together; she had them dried and still has her “bouquet” of Bagoy’s roses to this day!
One story hits particularly close to home – literally! Karlene tells of how her husband grew up in the building where the old Bagoy’s Florist and Home was located. 18 years ago he swept her off her feet with flowers and small gifts from our unique shop – and he is still sweeping her off her feet today, with stunning bouquets of 2 dozen roses apiece.
There are so many stories, and we could go on all day – in fact, watch future blogs for more local Anchorage friends and neighbors who have stories to share. We’ll end this Valentine’s blog with one of our sweetest clients. Amy’s business is also about sharing love, as she creates beautiful cakes for weddings and special occasions – and she relies on Bagoy’s Florist and Home whenever the design calls for fresh flowers to perfectly accent her creations. A cake with fresh flowers? Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
