Family has always been important to us at Bagoy’s Florist & Home, and of course our Moms hold a special place in our hearts.

In honor of Mother’s Day, we decided to share a couple of stories of the special moms in our lives and how we honor them here at the shop.

A History of Great Moms:

Current owner, Chanda Mines shares this photo of her Mom in the early 80’s.

“As you can see, the logo has changed since then“, she shares.” My mom’s passions have always been flowers and art. She and my dad owned Bagoy’s for 12 years before my husband and I bought it from them  – the legacy goes on!”

Spending Time Together:

For many years, we have welcomed our team’s children as part-time help around the shop so that Mom and kids can spend time together.

This year Merion and her daughter Anna, who is a senior in high school, will work together on Sunday, continuing the tradition.

We are Moms Too:

Owner Chanda has two beautiful daughters – and we have an employee pregnant with twins right now! Many moms have worked here over the last few decades, and we understand how special the bond between mother and child is.

Flowers Can Mean So Much:

Bagoy’s Florist & Home customer Sara tells us her very special mom story.

“My mom loves tulips and my father used to bring her tulips every week. My dad passed away 11 years ago, but since his death I have continued the tradition of bringing tulips to my mom. Bagoy’s has played a huge role in this, because they sell plump and healthy tulips, unlike those you see at the grocery store. They often have great weekly deals and offer a Tulip Punch Card. These specials have made it easier and more affordable to carry on my dad’s tradition of making my mom smile every week.”
