Fresh flowers always add that touch of elegance, pop of color, and aroma to a beautiful guest table. With the amazing creations and artistic presentations by today’s florists, fresh flowers can be that one perfect element at the entrance, the accent on the stage, or the recognition of a major sponsor.
Flowers have always played an important role in events and that continues today, often in less traditional ways. We always enjoy working with the creative and professional team at Bagoy’s.

Choosing the right flowers:

Florals are seasonal.
It’s important to rely on the expertise of your florist to know which selections of florals make the most sense for the season, and in turn, this can help keep your budget lower without special ordering out-of-season selections.
On choosing the right florist:
Florists are artists.
It’s easy to become overloaded with photos from Pinterest or Instagram, but keep in mind that it’s best to give your florist examples of what you envision for your wedding day but don’t expect things to look exactly the same as another artist’s work. Then, let them take the reigns and trust that they will put their own particular artistic touch on the florals.

HIRE A PROFESSIONAL FLORIST!
This does not mean a grocery store or your friend and don’t try to Do-It-Yourself. If you are throwing a big event where you are putting any significant time, money, and energy into it, it is important to delegate.
One person just can’t do everything. If you really insist on being a DIY bride or hostess with the mostest, then pick one thing and do it really well.
As an example: serve up your best appetizer, mix up your favorite cocktail, or paint up a bunch of unique thrift store finds for an eclectic looking decor. I highly recommend you don’t try to cater the food, arrange the flowers, and run the show. The saying “the jack of all trades is a master of none” is entirely true. The successful host and hostess know their best talents and let those shine. Everything else is delegated.
Floral design is tricky. You are working with a perishable item, and if you don’t know what you are doing, you will likely spend a lot of money purchasing flowers and end up with limp, sad-looking arrangements that don’t match the size of the container, aren’t uniform, are too tightly closed, or are already spent.
