Whether you buy them for yourself (which we advised last week), or for someone else on International Women's Day (March 8 this year), flower gifts are an excellent way to honor the achievements of women. And as that's exactly what IWD sets out to do (worldwide, we might add), Bagoy's is here to help you find the design that will do this important occasion justice. Welcome
It's lovely when someone gives us flowers---there's truly nothing like it. But we here at Bagoy's Florist & Home think that sometimes, you just need to give yourself the gift of flowers.
With all of their proven health benefits, taking home a lush bowl of fresh blooms (or a plant!) is really an act of self-care. Flowers do their work on us without us really knowing it. They make for beautiful decorative pieces, sure, but they're also important reminders to slow down, embrace the moment and connect with nature. Read More about Flowers That Uplift The Soul »

Welcome
We here at Bagoy's Florist & Home know that when we give flowers, it's always a meaningful gesture. But there are some occasions where flowers, and the impact they have, matter more than others. Think of the first time you were given flowers on a date (or gave them), the first corsage you pinned to your lapel or slipped on your wrist, the bouquet that was handed over with a hug when your loved one passed away. Flowers express feelings, but they also mark occasions. Read More about When Flowers Matter The Most Of All »
One of the ways we here at Bagoy's Florist & Home believe that you can get creative with your flower gifts (February is Creative Romance Month, after all) is to give what's unexpected, but that still falls within the language of love. It's the perfect time to get out of the romance rut with some flowers that do more than just wow and instead fully communicate your unique feelings. Every Valentine's Day, we're all after the same thing: long-stem roses loaded with petals.
At Bagoy's Florist & Home, we have plenty. And if you're reading this three weeks in advance, you're in an excellent position to get your top choice from us. We have them in vases, cubes or simply wrapped. No matter what you do with these showy buds, they look stunning and stately. Read More about The Romance Of Roses »
We love a good purple here at Bagoy's Florist & Home - just look at our logo. So when color company Pantone announced their pick for 2018 Color Of The Year recently, we rejoiced. Ultra Violet is an alluring selection, both majestic and mysterious. It's a great hue to introduce to your home's decor scheme in winter because it is, essentially, a jewel-tone. The richness and depth looks fresh in the New Year, but it will also spice up your winter, too. Read More about Spice Up Your Winter With Pantone’s Color Of The Year »
Galentine's Day just might be one of the most inventive and necessary of the modern holidays, taken as it was from a television comedy. On an episode of Parks and Recreation in 2010, show protagonist Leslie Knope got all of her girls together for a female-centered lunch celebrating the sisterly bonds between them. The group exchanged gifts and laughs and in the process, Galentine's Day was born. And on February 13th, more and more women are getting together to make this holiday devoted to honoring female friendship a reality. We here at Bagoy's Florist & Home are here to help you make your Galentine's dreams come true for your favorite ladies. Read More about Flowers And Chocolate For Your Besties »

January has two birth flowers - the snowdrop and the carnation. It's the latter bloom that we here at Bagoy's Florist & Home want to celebrate in this week's blog. Available in a dozen colors (you can even get them striped), the carnation is one of our most versatile flowers, lovely as a stand alone bloom or alongside other ones, where it can be a compelling supporting act. A carnation's intricate layers never seem fussy, instead they add a nice textual element to any bouquet.
As with many flowers (roses come to mind), a carnation's color is meant to express its meaning. You can have some fun conveying your feelings toward someone simply by considering the color you select for a carnation bouquet. Read More about In Praise of January’s Birth Flower: The Carnation »
